Time flies! December is here, which means Christmas is coming! Choirs sing Christmas carols on the streets and spectacular displays transform parks into wonderlands. To celebrate the festivity, Hong Kong will impress you with glistening decorations and assure everybody an unforgettable Christmas!

“The Spirit of Christmas” adorns Lee Tung Street in Wan Chai with glimmering lights and colourful ornaments. Designed as a festive installation for visitors to celebrate Christmas in London style, the Avenue has cooperated with the Crown Estate’s Regent Street in London to bring the world-renowned angel to Hong Kong.

“I would definitely recommend this place to my friend! The light displays here are very grand and it is worthwhile to take pictures here with friends,” Wong Wing Ki, Luna said, who came to appreciate the christmas lights with her friends.

Apart from the sparkling angel, snowflakes made with foam and bubbles also allured visitors.

“The foam snowflakes are just like the real ones I saw in Japan last Christmas! ” Chan Tsz Hei, Alex, a six-year-old boy said. Alex said that the foam and bubbles temporarily formed a snowy place in Hong Kong, which resembles Christmas in Europe. The Christmas lights in Lee Tung Avenue will stay until the last day of 2018.

On the other side of the Harbour, Christmas lights also illuminate 1881 Heritage in Tsim Sha Tsui, which is surrounded by many Christmas trees that are made up of crowns and ornaments.

“It is very beautiful here. The Christmas tree sparkles and the atmosphere here is very warm, I love this place,” said Wong Fung, Rick, a tourist from Taiwan who came to take photos with his girlfriend. Rick added that he thinks the Christmas light ideas this year are very innovative unlike previous years, which often consisted of nutcrackers and gingerbread man.

The displays will stay until the beginning of January, don’t miss this chance to seize the moment with your friends and family!
